My first sculpture

Description

Yay! here it is. I didn't take all the precautions to keep white clay clean, but that's ok, it's was just practice. I didn't used tinfoil for the inside either, but i'll do that next time too.

I only have a toaster oven, so figuring out the temperature and time to bake it took some guess work. Usually you wanna keep things in a toaster oven at a lower temperature. Some of the tips got a tad scorched,(colored all the tips with acrylic paint tough) and the body i think, was a little under cooked, but that's better than being over cooked and brittle. The outside seems just fine because it doesn't scratch. I'll also need to buy a better kind of clay next time.(and colored clay at that.)

So all and all, i'm ok with how my first sculpture turned out.:)

Absolutely delight work you've done here.

Even if there was accidental scorching, it looks intentional.

Thank you for sharing this, it's lovely and impressive.

Now I have to add a bunch of filler words here to take up space so I can submit the review. Please forgive me for having to add filler words. It drives me batty to have to do it, but sometimes, I don't know what else to do with the word count and space.

Anyway, thank you again, I'm glad you shared your project. It looks like it turned out well for a first attempt at this.
