Lunairis

I just now got around to drawing it again, and i made sure it would be a good reference. I don't redraw my OCs often enough, but i hope this new favorite of mine will be redrawn by me, and others, a lot in the future.

Lunairis: This creature is not male, or female. It's somewhat an eastern looking dragon, but is clearly an alien being. This mysterious dragon lives on the moon, and only appears on earth during a new moon, so it cannot be seen so easily. Lunairis is very shy and only likes the company of night and it's gentle creatures. Because of this, many strange legends surround Lunairis.

It is said that Lunairis eats the moon so it's enemies will not see it when it comes to earth. In the dark night of the new moon, Lunairis sets right all that is unbalanced, so the world will not fall into chaos. When it leaves earth, it spits the moon back out. It is believed, that if one encounters Lunairis, his/her heart will be purified. So on night's of the new moon, the people of earth turn out their lights early, and wait quietly to see if they can spot the shy Lunairis. Many others like monks, and other humans seeking purification, go out in search of Lunairis in the dark night.

Alien Long Dragon:
- Eyes: Red
- Main color coat: Aqua Green
- Hair/mane/Fins/horns: 12 spikes, 3 fin/spike thingys on each side of head with 4 scales at base
- Tattoos/markings: Black crescent moon on forehead 
- Scars: none
- Physical particularities: Saber/bolt-like yellow/gold horn above the black crescent moon. Head/crest comes to a point like a horn or spike, just before the 12 spikes down it's back. It's mouth is like a beak. Lunairis also has a scaley, yellow/fiery, underbelly with orange and red on the edges. 


Personality: Shy, but curious. Lunairis is very dutiful and takes dangerous situations seriously. It loves learning more about the world around it, and is determined to protect it. 
Preferred Mood/Theme: Oriental themes, serious, quiet, mysterious. 
Preferred Environment: Any






I used markers, color pencils, and some pens to color it.
